Damar Hamlin, 24, is recovering from a sudden cardiac arrest on Jan. 2.

Hamlin was released from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and Buffalo General Medical Center after being in serious condition.

“Watching the globe come together around me on Sunday was simply amazing,” Hamlin wrote. I'll spread the same love you've showed me. Football!"

Hamlin was injured tackling Bengals receiver Tee Higgins on Jan. 2. He ran into Hamlin with his right shoulder.

Hamlin stood up but immediately collapsed and went into heart arrest. CPR and a defibrillator revived him.

The American Heart Association reports more than 365,000 non-hospital abrupt cardiac arrests annually.

Hamlin's survival depended on immediate CPR and heart rhythm normalisation.

Cardiologists are speculating that commotio cordis caused this tragedy. The field's condition and expected events are here.
